Hospital Bed Motor Rebuild includes the following:
Motor disassembly
Windings testing: test for shorted windings and electrical resistance ohm test. Test for insulation breakdown by 1,000 volt hi-pot, and a 500 volt megger test.
If the stator windings do not pass the above tests, the stator is rewound to original specifications.
Rotor is check for proper balance, shaft straightness, and bearing surface wear.
Motor bearing journals are inspected and machined if needed
Gearbox is inspected, cleaned, and re-greased. Shafts are inspected for straightness and wear, Gears are inspected for proper pitch and excessive wear.
